Three steps of faith that we cannot avoid!
KNOWING JESUS CHRIST
Some people say that Jesus Christ was a man who lived 2000 years ago and died. But what you have experienced today is the reality of Jesus Christ living and alive. Through the Bible we learn that He did die 2000 years ago. But remarkably, and in an impossible miracle He rose from the dead three days after and became alive in the flesh. Everyone was surprised! Yet it was proclaimed 4000 years before His death and resurrection when God spoke to man and women in the garden. In fact it was spoken of a number of times in the past, then it happened.
JESUS CHRIST WHO WAS HE?
Is God, but is a man who came FROM GOD when the HOLY SPIRIT moved upon a young women named Mary. She was engaged to Joseph. When she was approached by God she was terrified. She was young and did not know why the angel would be speaking to her. But she said yes to God. Her husband didn’t understand at first, but God spoke to him in a dream and he too learned of the remarkable Son of God they would have. Jesus Christ came into the world not as a rich man but as a poor man, He had nothing but He had everything. Although His parents had very little many people came to see Him from everywhere and they gave Him gifts. When Jesus Christ grew to the age of 30 He began His ministry, which is what the gospels of the Bible explain (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).
WHY JESUS CHRIST?
The history of the world is told in the Bible. It speaks of all the problems that we have created and the ones that we will create. The Bible tells us about SIN. Sin is something that is so evil that stops the reality of our success as human beings. It causes sickness, blindness, hearing loss, in fact all kinds of loss in every way. The problem is that sin is in all of us. In fact we are born with sin in us! That seems like a cruel joke! God gives us sin? But we don’t understand unless we read the Bible! The first couple, made by God, was Adam and Eve. Male and Female. They were told in the beginning not to sin, they had a choice. But they failed! They did sin. They listened to their thoughts and they were tempted in to sin.
JESUS CHRIST CAME TO DELIVER US FROM SIN
When you responded to Jesus Christ you chose to do something about your sin. You see when Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, then was convicted for OUR SIN He chose to take the punishment so that you and I could have eternal life. That is what we mean by being born again. We have recognized our sin, and wrongs that we have done, and we confess them to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came to die on the cross for our sin, raise from the dead to give us eternal life so that we could live with Him forever. If you have chosen to do that then you have secured your life. If you want to do that now then let me tell you the prayer from Romans 10:8-9
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 8-9
The Bible is an amazing book. It is simple and complex. But it is all true and faithful. When you pray and accept Jesus Christ as LORD of your life then you must read the Bible and pray on a regular basis to grow in His WORD.

I have not been vocal during the election. But now after I feel it is time to share some things with you. It is important that we consider some things which the government has done and held before we come to the point where we forget the glowing imagery of the government we have. Some thoughts post-election that I think might be interesting.Read More »
